My husband has aphasia... lost most of his ability to verbally communicate. He gets frustrated but he is pretty patient with me working out trying to guess what he's trying to say. We kind of play charades. He says he understands about 1/3 of what I say. He also has difficulty understanding the meaning of words, so that can be a challenge as well. How do other people keep up communication with this problem? I am interested in things others have tried that might make it easier as this progresses. Any ideas? Thanks, Nanci
